Codi Risc launches a new webpage!

In Codi Risc we are launching a new webpage as one of the main means through which to communicate information on the project.

In an increasingly digitalised society, we believe it is essential to have a presence on the web. This puts the information at the service of those who need it; both experienced scientists and students, or simply people interested in the study topic, can access the site simply and openly from any part of the world. This was an important point when considering the new page. The researchers taking part in the project firmly believe in the need for science to reach a broader public, as well as to make our research known to other groups to allow us to establish professional relationships and possible collaborations.

The webpage is structured in such a way that the first few pages contain information on the rationale for the project and its aim, general information on suicide and the various prevention plans carried out by the government and other sections that include important news on the project or the topic in question, and contact details and data on the organisation. Subsequent pages provide more specific information on the project: its objectives, methods, ethical considerations, etc. It also contains a specific section where readers can consult all the related publications.

The design has been chosen to reduce the social stigma surrounding suicide and affected individuals: vibrant colours, an air of freshness, and a section for those people who access the webpage at a difficult time in their lives, have had suicidal thoughts, and who need contacts or resources for help.

The webpage will be routinely updated with news of research and articles published in scientific journals. There will also be posts on the social media of participating centres. Watch this space!
